I started RikerWeb in 2021 after years of watching good projects lose their shape between the people who designed them and the people who built them. Brian Williams is the second developer. We still keep one or two engagements at a time on purpose.
Interface design and front-end architecture in Vue and React, plus the application layer behind it. Most of my time goes to the screens where the work actually happens — tables, forms, review queues, agentic flows — and to making them survive contact with real data.
Before RikerWeb: product design at a health-tech company and five years freelancing for agencies who kept hiring me back.
nicolacodes.com →Front-end and UI. I build the React components and responsive screens, and I keep the component library consistent with the designs — including after real data shows up. I also make 3D and interactive pieces in the browser.
Before RikerWeb: front-end work for small businesses, and a nonprofit that teaches programming.
brianwportfolio.netlify.app →RikerWeb, LLC is two developers. Engagements are designed and built by Nicola and Brian, which is why capacity is one or two clients at a time rather than a queue.
When a project needs a specialist we don't cover — native mobile, brand identity from zero, heavy data engineering — we say so in the scoping call and bring in someone named, with their rate visible in the quote. You never pay for a layer you didn't agree to.
